If you are already at the bus station in Kuala Terengganu, you can walk 400 metres to the market. The moment you disembark from the bus, you will notice a road leading to the market. Depending on the time (as the market only open from 8.00am to 6.00pm), you can choose to walk.
The new shops
As you walk, you will notice a row of beautiful shops (4-storey) on your right. This area is called Paya Keladi. It has restaurant, textile, gold and jewellery, budget hotel and offices. As you proceed, you will see the Pasar Kedai Payang on your left. There you are, you have reached the most popular market in Terengganu. If you bag burden you, deposit it at the lockers at the bus station for a small fee. Once you had finished sight seeing the market, you can reverse back and find your accommodation. Happy travelling.
