When you are in Terengganu, you will come across the word Rhu. It is also spelled as Ru. It is a kind of tree that grows along the beach of Terengganu. Others call this tree as casuarina. These trees can survive the sea salt moisture.

Both Marang and Setiu districts have popular names using the word Ru or Rhu. These are scenic places that Terengganu boasts.
